Our story
Emergent Pathfinders originally started out as a research hub for emerging economics/markets and industries. However, with the current world around us, skills are valued more than the interest today! Taken from the insights and data of 20 industry professionals, professors, and university students, it was found that the gap on youth learning comes from the lack of hands on skill learning through workshops in their area of interest that's actually valued in the economy alongside promoting workshop to direct project based learning. This way the youth of today will be prepared to build with the skills needed tomorrow.

Aahana Baral
Founder & CEO · Dallas, Texas
Aahana Baral, Founder & CEO of Emergent Pathfinders, is a Junior from Dallas, Texas. Her passion in Economics started in 7th grade from just reading Bloomberg articles on nations' economies to now understanding the systems of the market, people and money. She created Emergent Pathfinders to find a community who thought just like her; however, seeing the current demand needed in skills, Aahana not just wanted to learn but help the Econ community of students to learn valued skills and tools alongside her. Aahana is into Economics and Renewable Energy and a bit into Industrial/Systems Engineering. She plays Tennis, bikes, mandala paints and loves exploring new places during her free time!
Benjamin You
Co-Founder & CTO · Ithaca, New York
Benjamin You, Co-Founder & CTO of Emergent Pathfinders, is a Junior from Ithaca, New York, graduating on a 3-year high school track. His fascination with technology began at age 5, spending hours building and iterating with LEGOs until those structures evolved into custom quadcopters, robotic dogs, and sensor-guided systems. By age 9, watching stock markets and executing early trades sparked a lifelong curiosity about how financial systems and economic markets operate. During and after COVID, he began building and maintaining full-stack web platforms, bringing those technical skills to help construct and support the Emergent Pathfinders website. Benjamin is deeply interested in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Financial Engineering, Psychology, and Human-Computer Interaction. In his free time, he trains in varsity rowing, competes in math leagues, and coaches middle school STEM teams.
